Peter Forgach, MD

Dr. Peter Forgach, MD is a board-certified eye physician and surgeon.   Dr. Forgach attended Calasanctius Prep School in Buffalo.  He completed his undergraduate degree at the University of Notre Dame. 

Dr. Forgach completed his medical school at the Medical College of Georgia, before moving to Cleveland Clinic for his internship.  He subsequently completed his ophthalmology residency at SUNY Buffalo before advancing to his fellowship in Vitreo Retinal Diseases at the Baylor School of Medicine.  

Subsequently, Dr. Forgach served as a US Navy Lieutenant Commander and was Chief of the Retina Service at the Oakland Naval Hospital in Oakland, California.  


Dr. Forgach then transitioned back home to Buffalo, where he established himself in private practice.  It is at this time that he laid the foundations of this practice over 30 years ago.  He has diligently managed and cared for patients with retinal disease by using cutting edge medical, laser and surgical treatments.  He is a recognized Fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology.  Dr Forgach also served as assistant Clinical Professor at the University of Buffalo's Medical School for a number of years.
